Dr. Rama Vasudevan

Dr. Rama K. Vasudevan of Oak Ridge National Laboratory presented on "Machine and Deep Learning for Materials Science: Current State and Future Prospects." 

Machine Learning, and Deep Learning specifically, have seen tremendous adoption in industry due to demonstrations of near-human capabilities in traditionally difficult tasks including image classification, natural language processing and machine translation. In this talk, he will review their work on this topic at the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences, and within ORNL’s AI Initiative, for machine and deep learning within the materials science domain.
