Mary Ferranti is the Library Technical Specialist/Digital Asset Curator for GL and DTM.  Mary holds a master's degree in archival management from Columbia University and has extensive experience working with historic documents, architectural records, photographs, and rare books.  She held positions at Yale, Columbia, Harvard, and the New Haven Historical Society before joining the Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection, where she served as assistant archivist for nine years.  Most recently Mary directed the archive and research center of the Chevy Chase Historical Society.

Mary will be working with Shaun Hardy on historical projects in the GL and DTM archives.  She will be cataloging correspondence, field and lab notebooks, and research files of staff scientists of both departments; modernizing our archival databases, and digitizing photographs and documents for Carnegie's new digital asset management system.  She looks forward to collaborating with our library and communications staff in promoting awareness of Carnegie's exciting history through exhibits, web articles, and social media.
